- View and manage profile data in one place
- Track changes more clearly
- Prepare for upcoming payee profile capabilities
We’re actively collecting customer feedback and sentiment during this initial release to guide upcoming enhancements.
Action: Start exploring Profile Manager today and share feedback using the Feedback Widget either on the page or via the Resource Hub.
In-App Enhancements
One-Time W-9 Data Correction (IRS Alignment)
We completed a one-time, irreversible correction to certain W-9 records to ensure alignment with IRS requirements and existing product logic.
What was evaluated
We reviewed existing W-9s and took corrective action if either of the following conditions applied:
1. Tax Classification mismatch
-
Tax Classification ≠ “Other”
-
AND “Tax Classification – Other” contained a value
2. Foreign partners / beneficiaries mismatch
-
“Do you have foreign partners and/or beneficiaries?” was populated
-
AND Tax Classification was not one of:
-
Trust / Estate
-
Partnership
-
LLC taxed as Partnership
-
What we did (when conditions were met)
-
Re-generated the W-9 using existing system logic
-
Replaced the W-9 currently on file
-
Preserved the original signature
-
Updated the W-9 date to reflect regeneration
Why this matters
This correction improves:
-
IRS compliance
-
Data consistency across profiles
-
Downstream reporting and payment accuracy
Action: No action required unless you choose to proactively notify payers of the updated W-9.
