A new centralized view lists withheld payments by payee and shows each payee's current review status at a glance. The Payments tracker now includes an audit trail for every stage of the review: - Payee Review Pending - Payee Review in Progress - Payee Review Complete - Approved for Indemnification - Payee Review Complete - Not Approved for Indemnification. - If a review ends without successful bank account verification, you'll receive an email explaining the outcome and the next steps. Bank accounts in these countries are now validated automatically and no longer show as an unsupported country. No workflow changes are needed on your end. - For non-U.S. bank accounts, a link to a Knowledge Base article that explains each validation status now appears under **Bank Account Ownership**. The tooltip describing the validation criteria now sits beside the validation status instead of the field label, so it's easier to find. #### **Payee Profile** - **Address Sharing & Connections:** Payees can now change which remittance address they share with a customer directly from their Payee Profile, without leaving the page. Selecting **Change Address** opens a list of the payee's existing remittance addresses. Once the payee picks one and confirms, the change is sent to the payer for review, just as before. This option appears only for payers who allow payees to reassign a shared address. #### **Guided Onboarding** - **Payment Information:** The bank details step now explains bank account requirements, including that the account must be owned by the legal entity being registered. A link to a Help Center article gives payees more detail. The same guidance appears when payees add a bank account in their Payee Profile. #### **Quick Connect** - **Entry Points (Home / Customers table):** The **Customers** table now shows each connection's status in plain language, such as "PaymentWorks is reviewing your profile, no action needed" or "Update your Tax ID." When a payee needs to take action, a button for that action appears right in the row. A new **Last Update** column shows when the status last changed.   --- ### **Behavior Changes** These updates change how existing functionality works as a result of intentional design decisions. #### **Profile Manager** - **Locations & Banking:** - For non-U.S. bank accounts, an open account whose ownership matches a close variation of the account holder's name now displays as **Valid Account – Ownership Partial Match (matched on name variant)**. These accounts previously displayed as **Valid Account – Ownership Unverified**. This gives your team a more accurate picture of each account before you pay. - For non-U.S. bank accounts, **Invalid – Account Closed** now appears only when the account is confirmed to be closed. Validations that couldn't be fully completed for other reasons used to show this status too. They now display **No Information Found – Validation cannot be completed**. - **Data Changes:** The **Data Changes** tab now shows 20 changes by default before you need to load more. Each time you load more, the next 20 changes appear. - **Filters & Search:** The **Tax ID** filter no longer requires at least 9 characters. You can now search for payees whose Tax IDs are shorter, which is common for payees outside the United States.   --- ### **Bug Fixes** #### **Profile Manager** - **Profile Data:** Fixed an issue where the tax form field showed "Generated by PaymentWorks" even when the payee had uploaded their own W-9. - **Data Changes:** Fixed an issue that prevented you from resetting approvals on New Location and Edit Location changes. You can once again reset these changes when they are pending with at least one approval or have been processed. - **Version History:** Fixed an issue where a PDF downloaded from a connected profile's version used a different ID in its filename than the original submission. Filenames now consistently use the profile's Request ID. #### **Guided Onboarding** - **Tax Information:** Fixed an issue where Canadian payees had to enter visa start and end dates to complete their submission. These dates are now optional for Canadian payees. Visa date requirements for other countries are unchanged. - **Tax Information:** Fixed an issue where W-9s created for individuals filled in Box 2 (business name or DBA) even when no DBA was given. Box 2 is now left blank unless the individual enters a DBA. #### **Payee Profile** - **Legal Entity Information:** Fixed an issue where names for individuals without a DBA were saved in inconsistent formats. When an individual saves their legal entity details, the name now defaults to First Middle Last.
