Creating Your Payee Profile
PaymentWorks uses two structured onboarding pathways, Guided Onboarding and Quick Connect, to help payees create a consistent, accurate, and compliant Payee Profile within the PaymentWorks network.
Both processes ensure the collection of complete information required for payments, tax reporting, and communication. The experience is organized into field sets, each representing a specific category of information.
Guided Onboarding vs. Quick Connect
Guided Onboarding
Guided Onboarding is used when you do not already have a PaymentWorks payee account. You will be guided through a step-by-step process to provide the standard information needed to create your Payee Profile and establish a connection with your customer.
Quick Connect
Quick Connect is used when you already have a PaymentWorks payee account and an existing profile. Because your core information and connections are already established, Quick Connect lets you connect with new customers quickly and efficiently, from your customer table, without repeatedly answering the same questions for each new relationship. You just select what you want to share from previously created data points and submit.
How the Process Begins
Your onboarding starts when your customer sends you an invitation to join PaymentWorks. This invitation directs you to provide your company information and complete any customer-specific fields required to set up your vendor record in their ERP system.
If you have not received an invitation, please request one directly from your customer. An invitation is required before you can connect with them in PaymentWorks.
