How Profile Updates Affect Your Customers

This article explains how updates to your Payee Profile impact your customer connections. Some updates are global and automatically apply to all connected customers, while others are customer-specific and must be managed in the Customer Table (Quick Connect).

How Updates Affect Customers

Profile Area Impact of Updating
Primary Information Global – All connected customers automatically receive updated information.
Legal Entity Details Global – All connected customers automatically receive updated information.
Tax Information & Tax Forms (W-8/W-9) Global – All connected customers automatically receive updated information.
Bank Accounts Sharable – You choose which bank account to share per customer. Edits to a shared account update all customers using that account.
Addresses Sharable – You choose which address to share per customer. Edits to a shared address update all customers using that address.
PO Information Customer-Specific Sharing – PO sets are managed globally. Customers with access to a PO set automatically receive updates when it's edited.
Insurance Certificates Global – All connected customers automatically receive updated insurance documents.
Insurance Attestation Customer-Specific – Managed in the Customer Table during Quick Connect. Certification that the customer is added as "additional insured."
Payment Method Selection Customer-Specific – Managed in the Customer Table.
Conflict of Interest Customer-Specific – Managed in the Customer Table.
Custom Fields Required by the Customer Customer-Specific – Managed in the Customer Table.

Keep In Mind

  • Global updates require no additional action once saved in your profile.

  • Sharable items like bank accounts and addresses are only updated for customers they’ve been shared with.

  • Customer-specific items must be completed or updated per customer in the Customer Table via Quick Connect.
