Profile Details - Locations & Banking

The Locations & Banking tab displays location and bank account details associated with a payee profile. This tab is available on all profiles, both before and after connection.

Before Connection

Prior to a profile being fully connected, the Locations & Banking tab displays the location and bank account details submitted as part of the payee's onboarding submission.

A pending approval banner persists across both the Profile Data and Locations & Banking tabs until the profile is fully connected.


After Connection

Once a profile is connected, locations are organized into two grouped sections:

  • Approved / Pending Connection: Fully approved locations that have not yet been connected
  • Connected: Fully connected locations, displayed with the associated Vendor Number and Site Code as the section header

Location Cards

Each location is displayed as a card containing the following:

    • Address type (e.g., Remit Address, Order Address)
    • Full address
  • Location Contact: Name, phone number, and email address for the contact associated with the location. This is generally required information, though the field may be empty in some cases.
  • Address validation status: This reflects the address validation that was run during the payee's submission. The status will not always be valid. This pertains to the remittance or order address only and is separate from bank account validation.
  • Bank Details (nested within the location card; see below)

Bank Details

Bank account details are displayed nested within their associated location card, reflecting the Remittance Address : Bank Account pairing.

Within Bank Details, there is a nested bank account screening section. The content of this section varies depending on the bank's country (typically between the United States and Global). This section can remain in a pending review or pending screening state even after it is displayed.

Available as of July 2026: Global Bank Account screenings are supported and will return results by a third-party service. PaymentWorks passes through responses exactly as they are returned. These will include institution details, global bank formatting checks, and account status and account ownership.

Note: Global account ownership screenings only check against vendor names associated with the bank account, not tax IDs. Global account status and ownership screening covers a growing list of countries.

If no bank account is associated with a location, the Bank Details section will display "No bank account associated." This can occur for either of the following reasons:

  • The payee never linked a bank account to that remittance address
  • The bank account has not yet arrived as a data change because the associated remittance address has not been connected yet

Note: When a new remittance address is shared by a connected payee, the address and its linked bank account do not arrive together. The address arrives first as a New Location data change. Only after that address is processed, and/or connected does the linked bank account arrive as a separate generated data change. Once the bank account data change is fully approved, it will appear here within the associated location card.


Connecting a Location

Users with appropriate permissions can connect a fully approved location directly from the Locations & Banking tab. The Connect action is available on location cards within the Approved / Pending Connection section.

This is primarily relevant in the following scenarios:

  • A New Location data change has been fully approved and is awaiting connection
  • A payer connected only one of two addresses during the initial post-approval connection, leaving the second address approved but unconnected

Note: Connecting a location from this tab requires appropriate permissions. The Connect action can also be performed from the Data Changes tab for approved New Location data changes.
