Overview
PaymentWorks can be used to facilitate payments to employees or co-workers. However, before proceeding, it is important to consult with your organization’s Vendor Desk or internal policy administrators to ensure compliance with your organization’s internal guidelines for paying employees.
Best Practices for Registering Employees in PaymentWorks
To optimize functionality and avoid potential account conflicts, PaymentWorks recommends the following best practices when registering employees as payees:
-
Use a Personal Email Address
- Employees should register using a personal email address rather than their work email.
- Why? This prevents email address conflicts between their employee account and payee account within the PaymentWorks platform.
-
Maintain Account Continuity
- By using a personal email address, employees retain access to their payee account even if their employment with your organization ends.
- This ensures a seamless transition and eliminates the need to create a new account for future payments.
Additional Considerations
- Internal Compliance: Always verify with your organization’s policies before registering employees as payees.
- Personal and Professional Boundaries: Ensure employees understand the distinction between their professional account (as employees) and their personal account (as payees).
